Almost there!

So, four months and no update. Again, I've been busy... but it's bloggin' time!

Darren updates:
He walks/, jabbers, sometimes says a word and I know he understands me. He just acts like he doesn't. He has 9-12 teeth, four on top and bottom in the front and I know for sure one molar, but he was cutting three others. It's kind of a pain getting in there to see his teeth. He loves brushing, it's a game and he gets really upset when it's over. We don't do it as often as we should, but I'm the only one who does it. We'll try to remedy that. The last week he's gotten on a different sleep schedule; which at this point in being pregnant is a nightmare. He goes to sleep at 8 or 9pm and wakes up at 6am. I know that's a good sleep schedule, but considering I'm the only one taking care of him; it's kind of a pain in the arse(Mostly because I can't sleep until around 4am... bah.). He loves watching Despicable me, Lion King, The Lorax(new one), How to train a Dragon and a couple others he'll tolerate when I'm sick of the above.

He still eats pretty much anything and everything, he loves hot dogs, clementines, bananas, fried eggs, PB&J sandwiches, mashed potatoes with sour cream, chicken nuggets, mac 'n cheese and dipping things(he dips the carrot in the ranch, licks it off and dips again... double dipper...). He drinks exclusively out of a sippy cup or out of one of my water bottles of there isn't too much liquid in it. He could be drinking out of a normal cup, but every time I  give him a chance he fills his mouth with liquid and then lets it dribble out of his mouth. He does it because daddy thinks it's funny... mmm hmmm.

Also, he has an issue when I enforce the rules. He doesn't listen when I say no. I gotta step it up as an enforcer now... bah.

He's in an awkward clothing phase at the moment, he's too tall for 12 month pants but too skinny for 18 month(they sag around his butt and you can see like half of his diaper... I'll be damned if I have one of those douchie kids...); although I dress him in the latter anyways. Same with 12 and 18 month shirts. Onsies: I've strictly moved him up into 18 month and they are a little long and baggy, but he's comfy. Footie pajamas I had a surprise, I got him an 18 month size at Walmart. The orange jack o lantern ones to be specific and he's too tall. So it's 24 month footie PJ's or I have to start getting him two piece sets... Where did my tiny baby go?

Tony updates:
He reenlisted for another three years with 12 month stability here. Or something along those lines, basically we're here for at least another year. After that year he can see if there are spots in Colorado or somewhere else. Since they are planning another deployment while we are here it'll be over a year before we find out if we can go somewhere else. But that's ok. I've gotten kinda used to it out here. Although Tony would like more opportunities to visit home. I pretty sure that's all I can say about deployment and stuff. Ummmm, oh! He's in Arkansas for two weeks on field training and he'll be back Monday. Also we'll be taking the maximum allowed amount of leave days for Christmas and around that time frame.

Ok, time for preggo updates:
I'm due on the 26th of October and I feel freaking huge. Pretty sure I'm not much bigger with this one than I was with Darren. But I still feel like it. Haven't been as sick this time, the major part of my throwing up ended in the second trimester. Although I still have bad days. Today being one of them. We didn't find out what this one was, but I'm suspecting another boy. Darren fights with it too much to be a girl. Although it if comes out a girl I'd be pleasantly surprised.(Especially since I would love an Owl theme for this one and most Owl things are girl oriented.)

I'm kinda more hormone prone this time around. Not sure if it's just been the stress or if I'm destined to become one of those constantly preggo raging ladies. The only times I preggo rage are when Tony and Darren gang up on me. Tony will be ignoring something I asked him to do forever ago and when I get around to doing it myself, Darren decides he needs to be picked up or something and goes into mega whining/screaming mode. Which, to be honest combined with Tony's lack of paying attention to when I need him to step it up and help with the parenting  gets me to the point that I want to yell at one or both of them. I don't like yelling, I don't even like raising my voice. So when I have to do it because someone is too focused on MW3 I get kinda angry. Which at that point he'll sometimes come get Darren and put the barrier up so he can't get into the kitchen.... but that produces more screaming baby and he ignores it and goes back to his game. I don't get loud angry though, I get deadly quiet angry. Let's just say he ends up doing whatever I asked him to in the first place, it hasn't happened more than a few times. But it didn't happen at all last pregnancy. So it's kinda retarded this time around.

I have also had several moments where I've started crying for no reason. No idea why. Just more hormones I guess.

Anyways, that's all for now. I'll try to keep it updated a bit more towards Halloween. We'll see.

16 Weeks

In case you're out of the loop, I'm pregnant again. This one is due in October and as long as it comes after the 23rd I am a-ok. We aren't finding out the sex of this one either, so prepare for another surprise! I haven't seen the doctor yet... which is bad I know. But I've been dealing with other problems.

Darren is walking now. Well he's been really walking for about two-ish months. He's more into sprinting now, especially when he has something in his hand and I'm trying to get it from him. He's eating more of the toddler food, oatmeal, ravioli and cubed fruit/veggies. I'm pretty sure he wasn't getting all his nutrients for a bit there because he didn't want to eat baby food and only ate what I was eating(also he lost a couple pounds, but when daddy doesn't feed him...). Which for my first trimester I wasn't eating a lot, even now I don't eat a lot but he's got other food he likes. So it's ok. He loves going outside, which  is easier now that I've cleaned a bunch of stuff out of the back room and he can now play on the back porch. He follows me around the house which becomes a pain if I'm in the bathroom for any reason. And if he can't get to me then all hell breaks loose, even if daddy is home. He's gotten a lot more cuddly, which I attribute to the sequel. He also does a lot of things now to put pressure on my stomach, he'll purposely try to stand or crawl over me. I smell sibling rivalry.

Sometimes I like to think Tony is used to being a dad... but then other times... He mostly comes home and plays Modern Warfare 3. He gets mad at the game and will snip at me or yell at the baby. *sigh* if it really gets to be a problem I will hide the game. Anyways, I will update after I have an official docs appointment.

Before February Ends.

My last post was before Tony came home, and to those that don't know he came home safely. Of course the day he came home will always be memorable... and not because it was a good day. I will touch on that in my other blog though.

Darren has been attached to his dad since the day he got back. All of a sudden he's got a new buddy and mommy is boring once again. Except when he's really hurt. Then mommy needs to kiss it better. I'm awesome like that. Although Tony gets frustrated with the baby, when he's standing in front of the TV and banging on the screen and screaming at whoever is on screen. Or when he's sneaking up the stairs because we've forgotten to put the gate up... even when we put the gate up he's figured out how to climb it like a fence. Anyways, even when the baby annoys him he still loves the mini monster, and that's all that matters.

Speaking of the stairs, when I lived back with my in laws he would go to the stairs and try to climb. Right before I left Jeremy was home from school and was playing with him for a bit, when he put Darren down to go up and make himself a sandwich he kept calling out to the baby. Who would then start screaming at him from the bottom. Now when I say scream, I don't mean he was crying for attention. He does this weird monster scream when he's excited. Something Grandpa taught him. So Jeremy had jokingly called down and told Darren to come up the stairs, which a couple minutes later I came out of my room where I was packing stuff because Jeremy called me. I walked out to see Darren, at almost 7 months on the bottom stair. Jer was so excited and all I could think was "Great, I can just imagine him at the apartment." But I think we left in the next couple days because he didn't have another chance to really do it.... actually wait, he did it a couple times. But he couldn't really get his leg up the next step. So he would go on the first stair and scream at whomever had just walked up, Tony's dad, or Mom, Jeremy. It didn't matter.

So when I got back here he had no interest in our stairs, he liked playing with the Christmas tree and his toys. And when Daddy got back it was all about playing with him and getting his attention and trying to play with the X-box remote. Something else Grandpa taught him. Darren and I had only been back a week when we had to go home with Tony. If there is some reason you don't know the reason we had to go home, read my other blog. There will be a post up about it soon. Anyway, the first night we were home Darren climbed up the stairs at my in laws. All of them. With little to no help from anyone. Except for the balance thing he had it down. Freaking ridiculous. So we got back here and it took about a week but then he gained an interest in our stairs. And within the last week or so he will either try to climb over the gate or he will act uninterested in the stairs and wait for Tony and I to forget to put the thing up and the next thing we know he's upstairs in the bathroom, pushing things into the tub.

He's also starting to stand on his own. He's been standing up using my leg or the tv stand or the mini fridge, and then he'll let got for a few seconds. His balance is pretty much perfect, except for the little wobbles he gets sometimes. He's even taken a step by himself. But he won't do it very often and when he notices that I or his dad are watching he'll sit down and act like nothing has happened. He's a bum. But hopefully, with the impending play-dates with Otis and Whitney's boys(Otis is in Tony's unit.) he will pick it up fast. Eli and Noah will leave him in their dust if he doesn't.

Darren's first Valentines day was fun, we went out to dinner and he got french fries. I meant to take a picture, but when we got home he went straight to bed. He was a tired and crusty booger.

Anyways, this is where I'll leave off. More posts soon to come, and joy shall be had by all.

Love everyone!
